Ask every buyer for a review a few days after their order, and show your Google reviews beside your own.

== Description ==

A few days after an order is completed (or picked up, when Factorize Pickup is on), Factorize Reviews sends the buyer one email. It shows each product they bought, with its picture and a "Review <product>" button that opens that product's review form. When a Google link is known, it adds a "Review us on Google" button.

It follows Google's rules: it asks every buyer, offers nothing in return, and publishes every review. There is no setting to change that.

= What you get =

* **One email per order, never two.** A queue sends in small batches from WP-Cron. Nothing runs on page views.
* **Skips** refunded or cancelled orders, buyers who unsubscribed, and products the buyer already reviewed.
* **A store-styled HTML email** with a plain-text part. It uses WooCommerce's email wrapper (so the sender, footer and SMTP plugin are the store's own) and your theme's colours. Each colour can be overridden.
* **Your words.** Subject, heading, message, buttons and footer, with {first_name}, {product}, {store} and {order_number}. A line per category and per product. A live preview and "Send me a test".
* **One-click unsubscribe** in the footer and in the mail app's own unsubscribe button.
* **Your Google listing**, found with a Places API key you enter (you confirm the match, and the listing whose website is your site comes first), or pasted by hand as a Place ID or review link.
* **Your Google rating and up to 5 reviews**, fetched once a day into a saved copy, shown by the `[factorize_google_reviews]` shortcode, a "Google reviews" block and an optional line under product reviews ("4.8 on Google from 120 reviews"). Pages never call Google.
* **A send log** with Resend, figures (waiting, asked, reviews received, Google rating) and a card on the Factorize dashboard.

= Where things live =

Factorize → Reviews. Tabs: Overview, Email, Google, Send log, Settings, Help.

== External services ==

This plugin talks to one outside service, and only if you enter a Places API key.

**Google Places API** (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service, operated by Google). Used to find your store's listing and to read its rating and up to 5 reviews.

* What is sent: your Places API key, your store name and website address (to find the listing), and the Place ID (to read its details). No customer data is ever sent.
* When: when you press "Find my Google listing" or "Fetch rating and reviews now", and once a day from WP-Cron while a key and a place are saved. Never on a page view.
* Terms and privacy: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/terms and https://policies.google.com/privacy

Without a key the plugin makes no outside calls. The email's "Review us on Google" button is a plain link to Google.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `factorize-reviews` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` and activate it. WooCommerce must be active.
2. Open Factorize → Reviews → Email, read the preview and press "Send the test".
3. Open the Google tab and paste your Place ID or review link, or enter a Places API key and press "Find my Google listing".

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Can I give a discount for a review? =
No. Google's rules forbid rewards for reviews, so the plugin has no such setting.

= Can I ask only happy buyers? =
No. Every buyer is asked, and every review is published.

= Does it need a license or Factorize Core? =
No. It works on its own. With Factorize Pickup it waits for the hand-over instead of the "completed" status for pickup orders.

= Why did a buyer not get an email? =
Open the Send log. A skipped row says why: refunded or cancelled, unsubscribed, or every product already reviewed.

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.1 =
* Fix: the review email has one logo at the top (the store logo goes into WooCommerce's header picture) and no store name in plain text above the heading. American spelling (color) on the screens. The Google box and line, and the unsubscribe page, use the theme's colors, fonts, radius and button style.

= 1.0.0 =
* First release.
